TOUR DE LION RIDE FOR FUN HEALTH AND COMMUNITY

Tour de Lion

4 years ago the bright yellow dandelion inspired our first nutrition and wellness fair as a bold symbol of our communities aspiring resilient health. The word Dandelion is derived form the french “dent de lion” meaning tooth of the Lion.

This year we are introducing a new healthy lifestyles attraction also inspired by the French. Our Dandelion Day Festival spin on the famous ‘Tour de France’ bicycle race is Peterborough’s own ‘Tour de Lion – A ride for fun, health and community’ a three level participation charity ride for the United Way. All riders at all levels are encouraged to wear something bright yellow, the colour of the day. All winners will be awarded Tour de Lion yellow T-shirts!

Voila! The Tour de Lion as part of the Dandelion Day Festival promises fun for all, a worthy cause for our community and winning day all around!

We encourage you to enter any one of the three rides for charity …more information coming soon!
